INSTALLATION
WITH 5 CITY TREES

Art of the City Festival, TK building and streets, Seattle

We are intertwined and connected like a grove of trees by the Mycorrozal fungi and roots that equalize resources, carbon and nitrogen traveling to and fro.

Potential partnering with city parks, food banks, community centers, neighborhoods, advocates for economic justice

City street installation at a Seattle Arts festival sponsored by artists from the Tashiro Kaplan building, August 2014
This work is a tactile experience, integrated into the street trees and urban environment surrounding the festival.
In a healthy eco-system, fungi interconnects flora like a second set of roots. In a forrest, the mycorrhazal fungi conecttrees of various varieties.  This work is celebrating the resource sharing network and tree systems from interconnected fungi to roots to blooms as a metaphor for community.
