Bees
Apis mellifera - honey bee

Take the honey with the milk, drink of it before the rising of the sun, and there shall be something in thy heart that is divine”.  -Berliner Zauberpapryrus

Participatory workshops enabling dialog about our relationship with bee pollinators.
We have culturally embraced honey bees for millenniums. Bees are an essential component in sustainable food systems. Diminishing bee colonies is an indicator that something is out of whack in the eco-system. Lots of reasons to engage about bees.

Potential partnering with farmers, markets, community gardens, neighborhoods, scientists, public buildings, art centers and museum educational centers.

Workshops can include one part or all three. "Pollinator's Garden" for making oversized flowers with messages, "Sweet Talk in the Swarm" for celebrating our relationship with bees through language and poetry writing, and "Portrait Gallery of Endangered Fruits & Vegetables" as a community awareness of the impact of bee pollination through growing the list of things reliant on bees and the option of generating a recipe book as a community project.
